Discretely situated close to the banks of the Mara River, the Ashnil Mara Camp is ideally located for viewing elephant, hippopotamus and crocodile plus many other animals, from the comfort of the private veranda of your tented accommodation.

The camp is approximately 255 km (158 mi) west of Nairobi.

The 40 luxurious state-of-the-art tents each have four-poster double beds and luxury en-suite facilities including a spacious walk-in shower and generous a dressing area.

Ample 3-pin 240v sockets are provided so you can ensure that the batteries for your cameras and other accessories are always fully topped-up.

The restaurant serves a wide range of cuisine including dishes from Europe, Asia, the Orient and of course, Kenya, all prepared by first-class chefs.

In the evenings you can enjoy your favourite tipple in the wonderful ambience of the comfortable lounge or you may prefer to relax in the evocative atmosphere around the open fire adjacent to the well-stocked bar while the sounds of the night permeate the air.

Guided nature walks around the grounds of the camp, conducted by the resident naturalist, can be booked at reception.

There is an excellent swimming pool around which are ample loungers for those who like to soak up the sun.

Daytime temperatures can be very hot and the shade of the acacias is welcome indeed. After sundown the air becomes much cooler making it easy to get a night’s sleep.
