Itinerary 9 – RASABI Essence of Kenya Safari

Itinerary 9 – Duration 15 Days – Rasabi Essence of Kenya Safari

Tsavo East – Tsavo West – Amboseli – Outspan – Samburu – Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

Day 1 – Nairobi to Tsavo East

Your Safari Guide will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi.
You will be driven to Tsavo East National Park (326 kilometres / 203 miles).
Enjoy lunch at Voi Safari Lodge.
Your first game-drive will be this afternoon at a time convenient to you. Return to the Voi Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 – Tsavo East

A full day to explore the Tsavo East. Together Tsavo East and Tsavo West make the largest of Kenya’s National Parks.
Lunch at Voi Safari Lodge followed by an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge.

Day 3 – Tsavo East to Tsavo West

Breakfast followed by a game-drive en-route to Tsavo West (83 km / 52 mi).
Lunch at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge and then an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.

Day 4 – Tsavo West

A full day within the huge Tsavo West with a chance of spotting a klipspringer, a small, rare and elusive antelope that frequents rocky outcrops.
Lunch at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge and then an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge

Day 5 – Tsavo West to Amboseli

After breakfast you will travel to Amboseli (239 km / 149 mi).
Lunch at Ol Tukai Lodge followed by another game-drive.
Return to Ol Tukai Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 – Amboseli

Breakfast and a full day safari in Amboseli including a picnic lunch.
Alternatively, return for lunch at the Lodge and then take an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ol Tukai Lodge.

Day 7 – Amboseli to Outspan / Treetops

An early breakfast and then travel to the historic Outspan Hotel in Nyeri (215 km / 134 mi).
Lunch, dinner and overnight stay at Outspan Hotel. Alternatively transfer to the world renown Treetops Hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 – Outspan to Samburu

Breakfast at Outspan (or Treetops) and then drive to Samburu (179 km / 111 mi).
Lunch at the Samburu Ashnil Camp situated on the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro River.
Afternoon game-drive and return to Samburu Ashnil Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9 – Samburu

After breakfast, experience a full day game-drive in the Samburu National Reserve.
Picnic style lunch in the bush or return to the Camp for lunch.
Return to Samburu Ashnil Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
There will be an opportunity to visit a local Samburu village where you will be introduced to the customs and culture of this semi-nomadic pastoral tribe.

Day 10 – Samburu to Lake Nakuru

After an early breakfast you depart for the Great Rift Valley and to Lake Nakuru (287 km / 178 mi).
Lunch at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge followed by an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Nakuru Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.

Day 11 – Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara

After breakfast you travel to the Maasai Mara National Reserve (257 km / 160 mi).
Lunch at the Ashnil Mara Camp followed by an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ashnil Mara Camp.

Day 12 – Maasai Mara

After breakfast, experience a full day game-drive in the vastness of the Maasai Mara.
Picnic style lunch in the bush or return to the Camp for lunch.
Return to Ashnil Mara Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 13 – Maasai Mara

Another amazing full day to experience the wonder and majesty of the Maasai Mara.
Lunch at the Lodge and then an afternoon game-drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Serena Lodge.

Day 14 – Maasai Mara

One more full day to explore the wonders of the Maasai Mara.
Picnic style lunch in the bush or return to the Lodge for lunch.
Return to Mara Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15 – Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast a final game-drive through the Maasai Mara en-route to Nairobi (305 km / 190 mi).
Your Safari Guide will escort you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home.
